BioWelcome to the last chapter of the "rxaisedonrxadio" era of the LiveJournal of the man, the myth, the legend, D. A. L. If you're reading this, you probably know me from UAB, where I have been attending since Spring 2005, then taking prerequisites for various pharmacy schools, and now, having given up on pharmacy school, in grad school in Engineering. But I was born in Birmingham of a father who was a radio DJ, so that is why I say I was raised on radio, and often prefer it to other media such as CDs and MP3s...though I do listen to my new iPod often. I'm starting classes in a few days, and I have actually managed to snag a full tuition-and-fees scholarship grant for the coming year, but I will still work a part-time research job involving energy usage surveys for UAB, as well as my old drugstore cashier job, at least until I figure out for sure whether the kind of health insurance I need is covered by the grant.
As for my current journal title and subtitle, it's loosely based on the new Lifehouse single "First Time." Yes, I'm happy to say it does have some significance in my life! As for my user pic, I went to the University of Alabama for my Bachelor's Degree, and Bama's more back than ever this year with the Nick Saban era, so I say ROLL TIDE!! Since I don't have any other options for cheap major medical insurance, I'll be working at the drugstore for a while, so I don't plan on deleting this account anytime soon anymore.
Oh well, I will say what's on my mind, regardless of whether or not anyone cares. Because I am learning to be happy for myself this fall, without the outside influence of others. Never again will I have a gray day inside when it is nice and sunny outside. And I will be a big success and never lose sight of myself again!
